Job Title: Registered Nurse – Correctional Facility

Duration: 26 Weeks
Shift: Night Shift (5x8 Hours | 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM)
Location - Highland, NY

Job Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to provide healthcare services within a secure residential correctional setting. The role involves delivering comprehensive nursing care, monitoring patient health, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to support the well-being of the population served.

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer medications, including controlled substances, in accordance with established protocols
• Monitor and assess patient health conditions and document findings accurately
• Develop, review, and evaluate individualized nursing care and intervention plans
• Ensure all care aligns with established treatment plans and clinical standards
• Maintain infection control practices and ensure a safe healthcare environment
• Manage and track medical inventory and supplies
• Prepare and maintain clinical and administrative reports
• Participate in team meetings, staff training, and interdisciplinary collaboration
• Provide care in a secure, supervised environment while adhering to safety guidelines

Patient Population:

• Individuals in a residential correctional setting
• Primarily adolescent to young adult population
• Patients with varying medical, behavioral, and mental health needs

Required Qualifications:

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – New York State
• Strong knowledge of nursing principles and clinical care practices
• Ability to assess patient conditions and respond appropriately
• Experience with medication administration and care planning
• Strong communication and documentation skills
