Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join an Orthopedic Surgery unit. The RN will provide high-quality care to post-operative and orthopedic patients, ensuring safe recovery and optimal outcomes in a fast-paced acute care environment.

Scheduling Details:

• Shift: Night shift (3x12-hour shifts)
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend (subject to change based on unit needs)
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week
• Orientation: 16 hours (non-billable)

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to orthopedic surgical patients
• Monitor post-operative patients and manage pain, mobility, and recovery
• Administer medications and treatments safely
• Assess patient conditions and respond to changes promptly
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams
• Maintain accurate documentation in EMR systems
• Educate patients and families on recovery, mobility, and discharge planning

Requirements:

• Active Tennessee RN License or Multistate License (required)
• Minimum 1 year of orthopedic or related specialty experience
• Travel experience required (no first-time travelers)
• Certifications Required:
  • BLS
  • ACLS
  • NIHSS
• Minimum 1 year of EPIC EMR experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in teaching hospitals or community hospital settings
• Strong clinical, communication, and teamwork skills
