Job Title: RN – Wound Care
Location: Brooklyn, NY
Job Type: Full-Time | 5x8 Hours (40 hrs/week) | 14 Weeks
Shift: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM (Monday–Friday)


Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Wound Care. The RN will be responsible for conducting comprehensive assessments related to wound, ostomy, and continence care, developing individualized treatment plans, and implementing evidence-based interventions to promote optimal patient outcomes.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive wound, ostomy, and continence assessments and develop individualized care plans
  • Monitor, document, and evaluate patient responses to treatments
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams and coordinate referrals as needed
  • Educate patients, families, and staff on wound care management and prevention strategies
  • Conduct pressure injury risk assessments and implement preventive measures
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ensure adherence to best practices
  • Assist in developing standards of care and selecting appropriate equipment and supplies
  • Provide staff training, in-services, and continuing education programs
  • Ensure compliance with patient confidentiality and data security policies
  • Support asset management for specialty equipment such as beds and negative pressure wound therapy devices

Required Qualifications

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) License – New York State
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA)
  • Minimum 2 years of Medical-Surgical (Med/Surg) experience
  • Experience in wound care and colostomy care
  • Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN/ADN)

Preferred Certifications (any one)

  • CWOCN / CWON / CWCN (WOCNCB)
  • CWS (ABWM)
  • WCC (NAWCO)
