Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide essential nursing care within a correctional healthcare environment. The LPN will support patient care delivery, medication administration, and clinical operations while ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards in a secure setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer medications and manage pill call in accordance with protocols
• Assist physicians during sick call and medical examinations
• Perform basic nursing duties and clinical procedures within scope of practice
• Monitor and document patient health status and behavioral changes
• Maintain accurate and confidential medical records
• Manage medical supplies, medications, and equipment inventory
• Respond to medical emergencies and provide appropriate care
• Ensure cleanliness and sanitation of medical units and equipment
• Prepare reports, logs, and maintain operational documentation
• Coordinate and escort patients for medical care as required
• Adhere to facility safety, security, and compliance standards

Required Qualifications

Education:

• Graduate of an approved Practical Nursing program

Licensure & Certifications:

• Active LPN license in the state of employment
• Valid Driver’s License

Skills & Experience:

• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
• Strong clinical and organizational skills
• Ability to work in a secure, structured environment
• Attention to detail and adherence to protocols
