Job Summary

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide high-quality nursing care within a secure correctional healthcare setting. The LPN will be responsible for administering medications, executing physician orders, supporting clinical operations, and ensuring safe, compliant patient care. This role requires strong clinical judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a structured environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver direct patient care, including medication administration and treatment support
  • Execute physician orders and assist with medical examinations and procedures
  • Conduct and support sick call, including patient preparation and documentation
  • Administer medications and maintain accurate medical records
  • Monitor, manage, and maintain medical supplies and inventory
  • Respond to medical emergencies and provide appropriate care
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of medical equipment and clinical areas
  • Observe, document, and report patient health conditions and behavioral changes
  • Ensure confidentiality and proper handling of all medical records
  • Conduct safety checks and identify potential risks or contraband
  • Prepare reports, logs, and maintain detailed documentation
  • Adhere to all clinical protocols, regulatory requirements, and facility policies
  • Assist with incident reporting and investigations as required
  • Coordinate patient movement for medical care within the facility
  • Communicate effectively with healthcare staff, security personnel, and patients
  • Support compliance with accreditation standards (NCCHC, ACA, JCAHO)

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program
  • Active LPN license in the state of employment
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • Strong clinical, documentation, and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a secure correctional healthcare environment
