Position Overview

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Surgical Technologist (OR Tech) to support perioperative patient care in a fast-paced operating room environment. In this role, you will function as a key member of the surgical team, assisting physicians during operative and invasive procedures while ensuring the highest standards of sterile technique and patient safety.

Working under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, the Surgical Technologist will utilize clinical expertise to anticipate surgical needs, manage instrumentation, and contribute to efficient and effective surgical outcomes. This position also serves as a resource and mentor to peers within the department.


Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and maintain a sterile field for surgical procedures
  • Function as a scrub assistant during surgeries and invasive procedures
  • Ensure proper preparation, handling, and availability of surgical instruments and equipment
  • Anticipate surgeon needs and provide appropriate instruments and supplies promptly
  • Maintain strict adherence to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols
  • Assist with patient positioning, draping, and intraoperative support
  • Collaborate effectively with surgeons, nurses, and other surgical team members
  • Monitor, track, and manage surgical instruments throughout procedures
  • Support compliance with hospital policies, regulatory standards, and safety guidelines
  • Serve as a clinical resource and mentor to team members as needed

Required Experience & Skills

  • Hands-on experience in the following specialties:
    • General Surgery
    • Gynecology (GYN)
    • Ear, Nose, and Throat (ENT)
    • Orthopedics
    • Urology
    • Vascular Surgery
  • Experience with robotic-assisted surgery (e.g., Mako Robotics)
  • Strong knowledge of surgical instrumentation and sterile techniques
  • Ability to work efficiently in a high-pressure operating room setting

Preferred Experience

  • Neurospine procedures
  • Pediatric surgical experience

Qualifications

  • Completion of an accredited Surgical Technologist program (preferred)
  • Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential preferred
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (as required)
