Job Title: Physical Therapist – Acute Care (Contract)

Duration: 14 Weeks
Shift: Day Shift | 5x8 Hours (8:00 AM – 4:00 PM)

Location - Bronxville, NY

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Physical Therapist to provide acute care services in a hospital setting. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of inpatient rehabilitation, patient mobility, and interdisciplinary collaboration to support recovery and functional independence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate and treat patients in an acute care hospital setting
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
• Assess patient mobility, strength, and functional limitations
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans and recovery goals
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies and patient safety standards

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy (required)
• New York State Physical Therapist License (required within one year of hire)
• BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support) certification (required)
• Knowledge of physical therapy practices and acute care protocols

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s or Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT)
• APTA membership
• Prior experience in acute care or hospital-based rehabilitation
