Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Orthopedic
Location: Paramus & Montvale, NJ (Travel Between Locations)
Job Type: Contract
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Day Shift | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (5x8)
Hours: 40 Hours/Week

Job Summary:
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide high-quality orthopedic patient care across multiple locations. The LPN will work under the supervision of RNs, assist with preoperative processes, and support patient recovery in a fast-paced orthopedic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care under RN supervision
• Perform patient assessments and data collection (physiologic, psychosocial, cognitive)
• Assist with preoperative assessments and patient preparation
• Support medication reconciliation and patient education
• Assist patients with daily activities including hygiene, ambulation, and meals
• Monitor patient conditions and promptly report changes
• Maintain accurate documentation and medical records
• Ensure a safe and clean patient environment
• Travel between Paramus and Montvale locations as needed

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited LPN program
• Active New Jersey LPN License (required)
• BLS/CPR certification (AHA required)
• 5+ years of relevant experience preferred
• Strong orthopedic knowledge and clinical skills
• Excellent communication and patient education abilities

Required Skills:

• Orthopedic-specific knowledge
• Experience with preoperative assessments
• Medication reconciliation and patient education
• Ability to clearly communicate protocol instructions
