Medical Assistant – Clinical & Administrative Support

Location: Pico Rivera, CA 90660, USA
Duration: 12 Weeks
Schedule:

• Monday & Wednesday: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Tuesday & Thursday: 11:00 AM – 6:00 PM (1-hour lunch)
  Pay Rate: Up to $24 per hour

Job Overview:

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a skilled Medical Assistant to support both front and back office operations in a clinical setting. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care, assist clinical staff, and ensure smooth patient flow throughout the facility.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet and room patients efficiently
• Schedule appointments and manage calendars
• Answer phones and respond to patient inquiries
• Take and record vital signs
• Perform phlebotomy and venipuncture
• Administer vaccines as required
• Conduct EKG procedures
• Perform point-of-care (POC) testing
• Assist with patient flow and other clinical support tasks
• Maintain accurate documentation in EMR systems
• Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff
• Provide patient education and guidance
• Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Experience:

• Minimum 1 year of Medical Assistant experience (in addition to externship)
• 2–3 years of overall clinical experience preferred
• Medical Assistant certification strongly preferred
• Experience in occupational health preferred
• Phlebotomy/venipuncture experience required
• EMR experience required
• Strong computer skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
• Interest in health education and outreach
