Job Title: Sterile Processing Production Technician

Location: Long Beach, CA 90805

Shift: 3rd Shift (11:00 PM – 7:30 AM)

Employment Type: Contract

Duration: 14 Weeks


Position Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Sterile Processing Production Technician to support high-volume sterile processing operations. This role focuses on managing loaner and consignment trays, maintaining workflow efficiency, and ensuring compliance with sterilization standards and documentation requirements.


Key Responsibilities:

Loaner & Consignment Tray Support:

  • Receive and inspect incoming trays for accuracy and completeness
  • Verify tray contents before and after sterilization
  • Track tray movement throughout sterilization and return cycles
  • Communicate with vendors and internal teams to ensure timely processing

Production Workflow Support:

  • Assist in managing daily production flow and workload prioritization
  • Identify and escalate discrepancies related to trays, timing, or documentation
  • Maintain organized and efficient workspaces

Communication & Collaboration:

  • Coordinate with leadership and team members on priorities and updates
  • Support vendor coordination, delivery confirmations, and documentation
  • Maintain professional and effective communication across teams

Documentation & Quality Assurance:

  • Accurately record data in instrument tracking systems
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory standards
  • Support quality improvement initiatives and process enhancements

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum 2 years of hands-on Sterile Processing (SPD) experience
  • Experience handling loaner and consignment trays
  • Certification: CRCST or CSPDT (required)
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • Familiarity with instrument tracking systems and documentation processes
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience supporting high-volume sterile processing environments
  • Proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement
