Job Title: Healthcare Route Driver / Transportation Technician

Location: Modesto, CA 95350

Duration: 13 Weeks Contract (Possible Extension)

Note: Valid Class C driver’s license. Clean driving record (MVR)


Position Overview:

We are seeking a reliable and customer-focused Transportation Technician to support the safe and timely delivery and pickup of sterilized surgical instruments. This role is essential to ensuring efficient logistics operations while maintaining high standards of service and compliance within healthcare environments.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Safely operate company vehicles (van/truck) for scheduled deliveries and pickups
  • Follow GPS routing to ensure efficient and timely service
  • Load and unload instrument carts and totes with care
  • Obtain proof of delivery (POD) and complete required documentation
  • Maintain professional communication with client sites and internal teams
  • Perform daily vehicle inspections and basic maintenance checks
  • Ensure compliance with DOT regulations, safety standards, and company policies
  • Accurately track deliveries, fuel usage, and service logs
  • Follow infection control protocols and PPE requirements
  • Support additional logistics and operational tasks as needed

Work Environment:

  • 100% local travel (no overnight stays)
  • Frequent driving with exposure to traffic and varying weather conditions
  • Work within healthcare and sterile processing environments

Required Qualifications:

  • Valid Class C Driver’s License with a clean driving record (MVR)
  • Minimum 1 year of commercial or route-based driving experience
  • Strong GPS navigation and time management skills
  • Ability to push/pull carts up to 400 lbs
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • High attention to detail and reliability
  • Ability to follow procedures and complete documentation accurately
  • Familiarity with safety and infection control practices
