Location: Brooklyn, NY 11203
Assignment Length: 14 Weeks
Schedule: Days | 8:00 AM – 8:30 PM
Hours: 34.5 hours per week (3 shifts/week, 11.5-hour shifts)

Position Summary

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is actively seeking a skilled Medical/Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) to join a dynamic acute care setting. This role requires a dedicated professional committed to delivering high-quality, patient-focused care while working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

Core Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
• Deliver direct nursing care to both pre-operative and post-operative patients
• Administer medications and maintain accurate documentation in accordance with clinical guidelines
• Execute clinical procedures including IV insertion, catheterization, and wound care
• Monitor patient conditions, including vital signs, and respond promptly to any changes
• Utilize and manage specialized medical equipment as necessary
• Partner with healthcare teams to support discharge planning and care transitions
• Provide education and guidance to patients and their families regarding treatment and recovery
• Maintain precise and timely patient records and documentation
• Ensure adherence to established nursing standards, protocols, and best practices

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of Med/Surg experience in an acute or post-acute care environment
• Recent hands-on clinical experience within the last year
• Proficiency in:
  • Patient assessment and clinical evaluation
  • Medication administration
  • IV therapy
  • Wound care and infection control
  • Post-operative care
  • Telemetry monitoring
  • Patient and family education

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with EPIC EMR systems

Education Requirements

• Associate’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited program

Licensure & Certifications

• Active New York State RN License (Primary Source Verified)
• AHA BLS Certification (required)
• AHA ACLS Certification (as applicable)
