Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – Combined Procedural Unit (ICU / Pre-Op / PACU)

Location: Hackensack, NJ
Shift: Day Shift – 4x10 Hours (9:00 AM – 7:30 PM)
Duration: 13 Weeks

Job Summary:

Seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to work in a Combined Procedural Unit (CPU) supporting ICU, Pre-Operative, and PACU functions. The ideal candidate will be a hybrid nurse capable of working across multiple high-acuity areas, delivering patient-centered, evidence-based care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care based on individual needs
• Assist physicians during procedures and patient care activities
• Provide care across ICU, Pre-Op, and PACU settings
• Perform therapeutic nursing interventions and monitor patient responses
• Manage patient flow through procedural and recovery phases
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with standards
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
• Advocate for evidence-based practices and high-quality care delivery
• Ensure patient safety and adherence to clinical protocols

Required Qualifications:

• Active RN License (state or compact)
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN)
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience in:
  • Critical Care (ICU)
  • Pre-Operative
  • PACU / Recovery
• Strong Telemetry experience (must be telemetry certified)
• Experience in an acute care hospital setting

Required Certifications:

• BLS (AHA)
• ACLS (AHA)
• PALS (AHA)
• Telemetry Certification

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• 3+ years of PACU experience
• Experience working in hybrid or cross-functional procedural units
