Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join an acute care rehabilitation setting. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in adult inpatient care and be proficient in Modified Barium Swallow Studies (MBSS) and Video Fluoroscopic Swallow Studies (VFSS). This role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced hospital environment while delivering high-quality patient care.

Job Details:

• Shift: 8 Hour Days (8:00 AM – 5:30 PM)
• Schedule: Includes weekend coverage as needed
• Work Setting: Acute Care / Inpatient Rehab
• EMR System: Epic
• Facility Type: Smoke-free facility

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders
• Perform and interpret Modified Barium Swallow Studies (MBSS) and VFSS
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary teams
• Educate patients and families on therapy plans and swallowing safety
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in EMR
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies and patient safety standards

Requirements:

• Active Florida Speech Language Pathologist License (must be on profile at submission)
• Minimum 3 years of acute care / hospital experience
• Strong experience with MBSS / VFSS (Modified Barium Swallow Studies)
• Experience with adult inpatient population
• BLS Certification (required)
• Experience with Epic EMR (preferred/required)
