Job Title: Sterile Processing Technician (SPT) – Day Shift
Location: Cortlandt Manor, NY
Contract Duration: 12 Weeks (Full-Time Contract)

Compensation:

• Local: Up to $1,275/week
• Travel: Up to $1,491.50/week
• Competitive rates based on experience

Schedule:

• Shift: Day (7:00 AM – 3:00 PM)
• Days: Monday – Friday (40 hours/week)
• Weekend/On-Call: Rotating call required

Position Overview

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Sterile Processing Technician (SPT) to support a busy surgical services department during a 12-week assignment. This role is responsible for ensuring all surgical instruments and equipment are properly cleaned, sterilized, and prepared in compliance with healthcare standards to support safe and effective patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean, decontaminate, sterilize, and assemble surgical instruments and equipment
• Inspect and ensure functionality of instruments prior to use
• Maintain accurate documentation and inventory tracking
• Follow strict infection control and safety protocols
• Prepare and distribute instruments to support surgical procedures
• Participate in an on-call rotation as required

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of sterile processing experience (preferred)
• CSP certification (IAHCSMM) preferred; must comply with NY State requirements if not certified
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to maintain continuing education requirements (minimum 10 CE credits annually)

Preferred Qualifications

• Instrument certification
• Experience in hospital or surgical services setting
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
