Job Type: Contract (8 Weeks)

Compensation

• Pay Rate: $24/hour

Schedule

• Monday & Tuesday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Wednesday & Thursday: 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM
• Friday: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM

Job Summary

The Medical Assistant / Phlebotomist supports both clinical and administrative functions in a healthcare setting. This role involves direct patient care, including phlebotomy, as well as front-office responsibilities to ensure efficient clinic operations and a positive patient experience.

Responsibilities

• Greet and room patients while ensuring a positive patient experience
• Take and record vital signs accurately
• Perform venipuncture and blood specimen collection
• Administer vaccines and assist with clinical procedures
• Conduct EKGs and point-of-care (POC) testing
• Schedule appointments and manage patient flow
• Answer phone calls and assist with front desk operations
• Maintain accurate documentation in EMR systems
• Support both front and back office operations as needed
• Collaborate effectively with clinical and administrative staff

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1–2 years of Medical Assistant experience (excluding externship)
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Experience with phlebotomy/venipuncture and EMR systems
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Medical Assistant Certification
• Occupational Health experience
