Registered Nurse (RN) – Neuro ICU

Location: Columbia, SC 29203
Duration: 13 weeks

Shift & Schedule:

• Day Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
• 3x12-hour shifts per week (37.5 hours/week)
• Weekend coverage as required
• Floating required within the health system

Job Summary:
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Neuro ICU Registered Nurse (RN) for a fast-paced Neuro ICU environment. The ideal candidate will have strong critical care experience and be skilled in managing high-acuity neurological patients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized care for Neuro ICU patients
• Monitor and manage patients with EVDs and lumbar drains
• Care for patients with subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH)
• Perform NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) assessments
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
• Float to other units within competency as required

Requirements:

• Active RN license
• Strong Neuro ICU experience required
• Experience with EVDs, lumbar drains, and SAH patients
• NIHSS certification
• Minimum 1 year of Epic EMR experience
• Willingness to float within the health system

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous travel nursing experience
• Strong critical thinking and adaptability
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
