Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – Pediatric Emergency Department (ED)

Location: Edison, NJ
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | 3x12 Hours

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Pediatric Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment. The RN will be responsible for rapid assessment, prioritization, and treatment of pediatric patients presenting with a wide range of emergency conditions.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform rapid assessment and triage of pediatric patients
• Deliver emergency nursing care in high-acuity situations
• Develop and implement effective patient care plans
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and staff
• Respond quickly to trauma and critical care scenarios
• Maintain accurate documentation and patient records
• Float within units as required (Adult ED, Pediatric ED, IMC)

Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum 2+ years of recent Pediatric ED experience
• At least 18 months of nursing experience in pediatric emergency care
• Recent ED experience within the last 6 months
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Ability to handle high patient volumes and fast-paced environments
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred Skills

• Additional pediatric emergency certifications or training

Education Requirements

• Required: Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN)
• Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

Certifications & Licensure (Required)

• Active RN License (State or Compact)
• BLS (AHA)
• ACLS (AHA)
• PALS (AHA)
• NIHSS

Preferred Certifications

• NRP (AHA)
• ENPC
