Position: CT Technologist (Contract)

Location: Manhattan, NY 10025
Duration: 9 Weeks (with possibility of extension)

Schedule:

  • Shifts Available:
    • Days: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
    • Evenings: 4:00 PM – 12:00 AM
  • Workdays: Monday – Friday + Every Other Weekend (EOW)

Compensation:

  • Local Pay: $2,300 – $2,760/week (based on experience)
  • Travel Pay: $3,000 – $3,400/week (based on experience)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled CT Technologist to perform high-quality diagnostic CT imaging in a fast-paced radiology department. The ideal candidate will ensure patient safety, maintain imaging accuracy, and adhere to all regulatory and radiation safety standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform CT scans using appropriate kV and mA techniques for high-quality imaging
  • Conduct daily quality control and calibration checks on CT equipment
  • Administer contrast or radiopharmaceuticals as prescribed by physicians
  • Maintain accurate documentation, logs, and compliance records
  • Perform quality assurance and safety testing
  • Adhere to radiation safety standards in compliance with ALARA principles
  • Manage and retrieve patient imaging data for radiologist interpretation
  • Order and verify radiopharmaceutical doses prior to administration
  • Assess and respond to patient needs before, during, and after procedures

Required Qualifications:

Experience:

  • Minimum 1 year of CT Technologist experience – required

Education:

  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program

Licensure & Certifications:

  • Active New York State Radiologic Technologist License (LRT) – required
  • ARRT Certification in Radiography and CT – required
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) – required

Key Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of CT imaging protocols and procedures
  • Ability to ensure accuracy and consistency in imaging
  • Strong patient care and communication skills
  • Attention to detail and compliance with safety standards

Additional Information:

  • Candidates must be flexible to work multiple shifts and weekends
  • Contract role with potential for extension
