We are seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist (CVOR Heart Team) to support cardiovascular surgical procedures in a dynamic clinical environment. This role involves working closely with surgeons and the surgical team to ensure efficient operations, maintain sterile conditions, and deliver high-quality patient care using advanced surgical technologies.
Prepare and maintain a sterile field for cardiovascular surgical procedures
Scrub and assist during cardiac surgeries in accordance with AORN and AST standards
Handle, organize, and prepare surgical instruments and equipment
Operate sterilization equipment and ensure proper functionality
Participate in on-call rotation as required
Assist with:
Case cart preparation
OR room setup and turnover
Inventory and supply management
Updating surgeon preference cards
Follow hospital policies, safety standards, and regulatory guidelines
Communicate effectively with the surgical team and escalate concerns when necessary
Support quality improvement initiatives and patient safety standards
Contribute to a positive and efficient team environment
Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program or military equivalent
Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) – Required
BLS Certification (AHA) – Required
Minimum 1 year of Surgical Technologist experience
CVOR experience preferred
