Engine Production Engineer

Location: Middletown, CT (Onsite – No Remote/Hybrid)
Duration: 11 Months Contract

Schedule: Monday–Friday (Day Shift)
Work Type: 100% Onsite
Note: Local candidates within Connecticut are required. Occasional variable shift work may be needed.


Position Overview

A leading engineering and manufacturing organization is seeking an Engine Production Engineer to support production operations in collaboration with a major engine manufacturing customer team.

This role involves coordinating engineering activities, optimizing manufacturing processes, and ensuring efficient and high-quality engine production.


Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate engine production engineering activities between technicians and internal engineering/IPT teams.

  • Support the design, implementation, and optimization of manufacturing processes, systems, and tools.

  • Communicate technical issues to engineering teams and collaborate on effective solutions.

  • Collect, analyze, and report engine production status and performance metrics.

  • Assist in improving production efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.

  • Work cross-functionally with engineering, production, and quality teams.


Required Skills & Experience

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Experience in:

    • Engine parts management

    • Engine repair and testing

    • Engine assembly and disassembly

  • Ability to interpret:

    • Work instructions

    • Engineering drawings

    • Bills of materials (BOMs)

  • Experience with process development and optimization in a manufacturing environment.

  • Strong communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
    (OR Associate’s Degree with relevant work experience)

  • Minimum 2+ years of relevant experience in manufacturing or production engineering.


Additional Requirements

  • Must be able to work onsite full-time in Middletown, CT.

  • Local candidates only.

  • Flexibility to work variable shifts when required.
