Job Title: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
Job Duration: 13 Weeks (Contract)
Shift: Night Shift – 4x12 Hours (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
Desired Location: Greenville, South Carolina


Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to support adult and geriatric patients in a high-acuity healthcare setting. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in critical care, respiratory procedures, and ventilator management, with the ability to work in fast-paced environments.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide respiratory care to adult and geriatric patients

  • Perform procedures including extubation, airway management, suctioning, and tracheostomy care

  • Administer respiratory medications via various delivery systems

  • Manage and monitor patients on mechanical ventilation, BiPAP, and CPAP

  • Assist with pulmonary hygiene and sputum specimen collection

  • Monitor patient response and adjust respiratory care plans accordingly

  • Troubleshoot ventilator alarms and assist with weaning from ventilation

  • Maintain accurate documentation within EMR systems

  • Float to other units as needed based on competency


Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 2+ years of Respiratory Therapist experience

  • Active South Carolina RRT License (required at submission)

  • ACLS & BLS Certifications required

  • Experience in Trauma Level 1 settings required

  • Minimum 1 year of EPIC EMR experience


Required Skills

  • Proficiency in adult critical care respiratory therapy

  • Experience with:

    • High-flow nasal cannula and trach collar oxygen therapy

    • Mechanical ventilation and ventilator weaning

    • Airway management and suctioning techniques

    • Nebulizers (handheld, T-piece, trach collar)

    • Medication delivery systems (MDI, aerosol masks, trach setups)

  • Experience administering respiratory medications such as:

    • Albuterol, Atrovent, Combivent

    • Pulmicort, Flovent, Spiriva

    • Racemic epinephrine, Terbutaline, Tobramycin, Xopenex
