Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – House Supervisor

Location: New York, NY
Contract Type: Temporary Assignment


Schedule & Shift:

  • Schedule: 5×8-hour shifts (40 hours/week)

  • Shift: Evening (3:30 PM – 12:00 AM)

  • Weekend Requirement: Alternating weekends


Compensation:

  • Travelers: $3,200/week

  • Local Candidates: $2,625/week


Job Overview:

A healthcare facility in New York is seeking an experienced RN House Supervisor to oversee nursing operations within a Long-Term Acute Care / Vent Unit setting. This role is ideal for a strong clinical leader who can ensure high-quality patient care, regulatory compliance, and effective staff coordination.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate nursing staff and daily unit operations

  • Provide clinical leadership and support to nursing teams

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and internal policies

  • Monitor and maintain patient care quality and safety standards

  • Act as a liaison between nursing staff, departments, and leadership

  • Support staffing, workflow management, and operational efficiency


Required Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years of acute care supervisory experience

  • Experience in Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) or Vent Unit preferred

  • Strong knowledge of regulatory and accreditation standards (e.g., Joint Commission)


Education:

  • Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN/ADN) from an accredited program


Licensure & Certifications:

  • Active New York State RN License

  • AHA BLS (Basic Life Support)

  • AHA ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)

  • AHA PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)


Key Skills:

  • Leadership and team management

  • Strong clinical judgment and decision-making

  • Effective communication and coordination skills

  • Ability to manage high-acuity patient environments

  • Knowledge of compliance and quality standards


Work Environment:
