Location: New York, NY 10065
Schedule: Monday – Friday | 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Duration: 11 Weeks (Contract, with possibility of extension)
Local Pay: $3,000 – $3,400/week (based on experience)
Travel Pay: $3,500 – $4,100/week (based on experience)
We are seeking a qualified Travel Pathologist Assistant to support pathology services in a clinical setting. The ideal candidate will assist in the preparation, examination, and documentation of surgical specimens while ensuring accuracy and adherence to established protocols.
Assist pathologists in the gross examination and dissection of surgical specimens.
Prepare tissue samples for histologic processing.
Ensure accurate documentation and labeling of specimens.
Maintain compliance with laboratory safety and quality standards.
Collaborate with laboratory staff and healthcare professionals.
Support workflow efficiency within the pathology department.
NYS Licensure as a Pathologist Assistant (required).
Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited Pathologist Assistant program OR equivalent program recognized by the New York State Education Department.
Degree from a NAACLS-accredited Pathologists’ Assistant program (preferred/acceptable pathway).
0–3 years of pathology experience required.
ASCP Certification (American Society for Clinical Pathology)
Fellow of the American Association of Pathologists’ Assistants (AAPA)
