Position: Registered Nurse – Emergency Room

Location: Falmouth, MA 02540
Assignment Duration: 13 Weeks (Contract)
Shift: Nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week

Compensation:

  • Hourly Rate: $82.33/hr

  • Weekly Gross Pay: $2,963.88

  • Weekly Stipend: $1,595.88

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) for a contract opportunity. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care using the nursing process, maintaining accurate documentation, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams in a fast-paced emergency setting.

Responsibilities:

  • Utilize the nursing process to provide safe and effective patient care.

  • Perform and document comprehensive patient assessments (physical, psychological, and social).

  • Develop and implement individualized care plans.

  • Communicate patient status and care plans with healthcare team members.

  • Function effectively in a charge nurse role when required.

  • Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records.

  • Serve as a resource for staff education, orientation, and patient care guidance.

  • Participate in staff meetings, mandatory training, and quality improvement initiatives.

  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols, infection control, and hospital policies.

  • Continuously update clinical knowledge and maintain professional development records.

  • Deliver excellent patient-centered care to patients, families, and staff.

  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Required Qualifications:

  • Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.

  • Minimum 2 years of recent ER RN experience.

  • At least 1 year of ER travel experience.

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Massachusetts.

  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification – required.

  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification – required.

  • Strong skills in IV therapy, ventilator care, and telemetry monitoring.

  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.

  • Successful completion of pharmacology and arrhythmia exams (as required).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)

  • ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course)

  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)

  • De-escalation certification
