We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Application Programmer specializing in Microsoft Power Platform to design, develop, and support enterprise-grade applications. This role focuses on modernizing workflows, improving operational efficiency, and enabling data-driven decision-making within a regulated environment.
The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise, architectural thinking, and experience working in complex or compliance-driven organizations.
Design, develop, and maintain applications using Power Apps (Canvas & Model-Driven), Power Automate, Power Pages, Dataverse, and Power BI
Translate business requirements into scalable, reusable technical solutions
Develop standardized components, templates, and frameworks
Perform hands-on development, debugging, and performance optimization
Provide knowledge transfer and training to internal teams
Integrate Power Platform solutions with Microsoft 365, Dynamics 365, Azure services, and external systems via APIs
Ensure scalability, performance, and maintainability of solutions
Support enterprise architecture and best practices
Implement role-based access control (RBAC), data loss prevention policies, and environment strategies (Dev/Test/Prod)
Ensure compliance with security standards, regulatory requirements, and accessibility guidelines
Support audits, documentation, and compliance reviews
Collaborate with stakeholders, project managers, architects, and development teams
Lead code reviews, solution design discussions, and architecture reviews
Mentor junior developers and support citizen development initiatives
Evaluate and implement new Power Platform features and capabilities
Support AI-driven automation initiatives, including conversational AI and Copilot-based solutions
5+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse, Power BI)
Strong experience with application lifecycle management and environment strategy
Solid understanding of security models, RBAC, and data governance
Proficiency in SQL and data modeling
Proven ability to gather and translate business requirements into technical solutions
Ability to work independently across multiple projects
Strong communication and documentation skills
Experience with Copilot Studio or conversational AI platforms
Experience in government, public sector, or regulated environments
Familiarity with Dynamics 365 and Azure services (Functions, Logic Apps, API Management)
Experience with DevOps and CI/CD pipelines for Power Platform
Microsoft certifications related to Power Platform or solution architecture
Experience with Microsoft SQL Server
Primarily remote role within the United States, with potential onsite requirements
Availability required during core hours: 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM (Central Time)
May require occasional work outside standard hours, including weekends or holidays
Engagement follows a staff augmentation model (no guaranteed minimum hours)
Delivery of scalable, enterprise-grade Power Platform solutions
Weekly status reporting (progress, risks, activities)
Accurate time tracking and monthly invoicing
Documentation aligned with organizational standards
Participation in audits and compliance activities
Adherence to applicable data security and privacy regulations (e.g., healthcare and federal data standards)
Ability to pass background checks if required
Strict adherence to confidentiality and data protection protocols
