Interventional Radiology (IR) Technologist – Travel Contract

Location: Hyannis/Yarmouth Area, Massachusetts
Duration: 13 Weeks
Facility Type: Acute Care – Interventional Radiology

Compensation:

  • Travel Rate: Up to $3,436/week (Negotiable based on experience)

Schedule:

  • Day Shift: 5x8-hour shifts (40 hours/week)

  • Shift Options: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM or 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

  • On-call required (nights, weekends, holidays)

  • Use of lead apron required


Job Overview

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Interventional Radiology (IR) Technologist to support physicians during diagnostic, vascular, and non-vascular procedures. This role involves patient care, maintaining sterile technique, operating specialized equipment, and ensuring patient safety throughout procedures.


Key Responsibilities

  • Assist physicians with invasive procedures (scrubbing, circulating, monitoring, and documentation)

  • Operate and manage interventional radiology equipment

  • Monitor patient condition and hemodynamic status during procedures

  • Prepare and maintain sterile fields and procedural trays

  • Assist with contrast administration

  • Provide patient care, education, and comfort before, during, and after procedures

  • Transfer and position patients safely

  • Maintain inventory and perform basic equipment maintenance

  • Support EP program responsibilities as needed

  • Perform additional duties as assigned


Requirements

  • BLS (Basic Life Support) – Required

  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) – Required

  • IABP Certification – Required

  • RCIS / ARRT / CI / VI or equivalent certification (based on specialty)

  • Associate’s Degree in Cardiovascular Technology or related field (or equivalent experience)

  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program (if applicable)

  • Minimum recent experience: 6 months – 5 years (based on role level)

  • Basic Arrhythmia exam (if required within 12 months)

  • Strong communication and patient care skills
