Shift Details

  • Shift: Day Shift (Rotating Weekends)

  • Schedule: 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM

  • Schedules may vary based on hospital needs

Compensation (Based on Experience)

  • Entry Level: $35.77/hr

  • Mid Level (≈10 years experience): $44.71/hr

  • Maximum (16+ years experience): $49.18/hr

Additional Benefits

  • Sign-On Bonus: $10,000

Position Summary

A healthcare facility in Gainesville, FL is seeking a qualified Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders.

The SLP will collaborate with physicians, nurses, and rehabilitation professionals to provide evidence-based therapy that supports patient recovery, communication, and functional independence.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate patients’ speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing abilities using standardized assessments and clinical observation

  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to improve communication and swallowing safety

  • Provide speech and swallowing therapy to promote functional recovery and independence

  • Maintain accurate documentation including evaluations, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries

  • Educate patients and families regarding therapy goals, safety recommendations, and home strategies

  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, rehabilitation staff, and care managers to ensure coordinated patient care

Required Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology

  • Active Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) License – State of Florida or eligibility for licensure

  • Minimum 1 year of Speech Language Pathology experience

Preferred Skills

  • Experience performing Modified Barium Swallow Study (MBS)

  • Experience with Fiberoptic Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing (FEES)
