A healthcare facility in Tallahassee, FL is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to provide high-quality respiratory care to patients with acute and chronic respiratory conditions.
The therapist will collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to assess respiratory status, administer therapeutic treatments, and manage patients requiring invasive or non-invasive mechanical ventilation.
Perform and document respiratory assessments, including breath sounds and airway evaluation
Conduct diagnostic tests to evaluate respiratory conditions and treatment effectiveness
Administer respiratory therapies such as oxygen therapy, aerosol medications, and chest physiotherapy
Assist with placement and management of artificial airways
Initiate, monitor, and maintain mechanical ventilation for patients requiring respiratory support
Monitor patient response to therapy and report significant changes to the healthcare provider
Assist with transportation of ventilator-dependent patients
Respond to emergency situations and participate in resuscitation procedures when required
Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with clinical protocols
Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential through the National Board for Respiratory Care
State Respiratory Therapist License
Associate Degree in Respiratory Care
1 year of respiratory therapy experience preferred (new graduates may be considered)
Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) through the American Heart Association
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) through the American Heart Association
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) through the American Heart Association
Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification through the American Academy of Pediatrics
