Job Title: Mainframe Application Support Manager

Location: Remote (India – PST Time Zone Support)
Contract: 9+ Months
Compensation: Negotiable

Position Overview

"Navitas Partners, LLC" is seeking an experienced Mainframe Application Support Manager to lead operational support and maintenance of enterprise financial applications running in an IBM z/OS mainframe environment. The role involves managing COBOL-based applications under CICS with batch processing via JCL, ensuring system stability, performance, and security while leading a team of Level 2 and Level 3 mainframe engineers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead technical support and operations for IBM z/OS mainframe applications.

  • Manage L2/L3 support team, incident response, and root cause analysis.

  • Oversee support for COBOL batch and online systems (CICS).

  • Troubleshoot production issues including batch failures, data integrity issues, and system outages.

  • Manage application changes, enhancements, and code updates for COBOL, JCL, and DB2 objects.

  • Ensure proper testing, QA validation, and UAT support.

  • Monitor batch processing cycles, system performance, and production workloads.

  • Maintain technical documentation including DB2 tables, file structures, and COBOL copybooks.

  • Support knowledge transfer and transition planning for future system modernization.
