O.R. Technician (CST) – Contract
Location: New York, NY 10019
Compensation:
Travel Rate: $2,877.50/week
Local Rate: $2,325/week
(Negotiable based on experience)
Duration: 9 Weeks
Shift: Evening Shift (3:00 PM – 11:15 PM)
Schedule: 5 Days per Week
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Certified Surgical Technician (CST) to support surgical procedures in a hospital operating room environment. The CST will assist the surgical team by maintaining sterile technique, preparing instruments and supplies, and ensuring efficient operating room workflow before, during, and after procedures.
Prepare and maintain sterile instrument tables and surgical equipment.
Scrub, gown, and glove according to sterile technique standards.
Assist with patient positioning, draping, and surgical preparation.
Anticipate surgeon needs by providing instruments, sutures, sponges, and supplies.
Maintain accurate counts of sponges, needles, and instruments throughout procedures.
Prepare and label medications and solutions under RN supervision.
Assist with specimen handling, dressings, and post-procedure room turnover.
Support the circulating nurse and maintain compliance with safety and infection control standards.
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Coursework in Operating Room Technology, Biology, or Chemistry preferred.
Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) Certification required.
Previous Operating Room experience preferred.
Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills.
Ability to work evening shifts, 5 days per week.
