Job Title: Pharmacy Technician

Travel Rate: $36 – $38 per hour
Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,150 – $1,200 (based on experience)
Local Rate: $32 – $34 per hour
Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,024 – $1,088 (based on experience)
A healthcare facility in Falmouth, MA is seeking a skilled Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacists in performing technical and operational pharmacy functions. The technician will assist with medication preparation, inventory management, and medication distribution while ensuring accuracy, safety, and compliance with pharmacy standards.
The ideal candidate will have experience working in a hospital or clinical pharmacy environment and demonstrate strong organizational and communication skills.
Review and process departmental medication orders
Prepare medications for distribution to patient care units
Deliver medications safely and accurately to clinical units
Order medications and supplies from approved vendors
Assist in the preparation of parenteral (IV) medications when required
Maintain medication inventory including stocking, expiration checks, and processing returns
Replenish medication dispensing systems such as automated medication stations
Support billing and administrative pharmacy tasks that do not require pharmacist authorization
Train and orient new pharmacy support staff as needed
Maintain accurate documentation and follow pharmacy safety protocols
Experience working in an IV preparation room
Familiarity with automated medication dispensing systems such as Pyxis MedStation
Medication reconciliation experience preferred but not required
Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
High School Diploma or GED
Massachusetts State Registration as a Pharmacy Technician
Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) Certification from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board
Minimum 1 year of recent Pharmacy Technician experience (within the last 3 years)
3 years of experience preferred
Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
