Title: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Adult Psych Unit / Psych Float Pool
Job Location: Syracuse, NY
Unit: Adult Psychiatric / Psych Float Pool
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Day Shift (one shift/day) – 12:00 PM to 12:00 AM
Schedule: One day shift and one day/evening shift available
Weekend/Holiday Requirement: Every other weekend and some holidays required
Hours: 12 hours/week (1 shift/week)
Pay: $44.00 – $47.00/hr
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides patient care in acute care and psychiatric settings with minimal supervision. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Greet patients, direct them to exam rooms, and prepare them for care
Assist with injections, procedures, vital signs, and routine clinical tasks
Support physicians with patient care and examinations
Maintain exam rooms and clinical areas
Assist with administrative duties including scheduling, charting, and insurance authorization
Document and communicate patient responses to treatments
Participate in unit management activities and nursing care plans
Perform patient care functions required in acute care and psychiatric units
Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) strongly preferred
Minimum 1 year of LPN experience required
Inpatient experience preferred
Psychiatric experience required
Pediatric experience preferred
High School Diploma or equivalent
Current New York State LPN License
CPR Certification (must be able to obtain or renew if needed)
