Clinical Laboratory Technologist – Contract-to-Hire (Temp to Perm)

Compensation
Local Rate: $2,070/week (negotiable based on experience)
Travel Rate: $2,545/week (negotiable based on experience)
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a skilled Clinical Laboratory Technologist to join a hospital-based laboratory team. In this role, you will perform complex laboratory tests and diagnostic procedures that support accurate patient diagnosis and treatment. The technologist will work within established laboratory protocols while maintaining the highest standards of quality control, specimen accuracy, and patient safety.
This is a contract-to-hire opportunity, with the expectation that the selected candidate will complete the 13-week assignment and transition into a full-time permanent position.
Perform clinical laboratory testing and diagnostic procedures according to established protocols.
Conduct laboratory analyses across departments, including blood bank and transfusion services.
Ensure accurate processing, testing, and analysis of patient specimens.
Perform blood typing, compatibility testing, and cross-matching procedures.
Support safe and accurate blood transfusion services.
Follow laboratory quality assurance and quality control standards.
Maintain compliance with state regulations and clinical laboratory standards.
Ensure proper documentation and reporting of laboratory results.
Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure proper calibration and functionality.
Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to support patient diagnosis and treatment.
Strong understanding of clinical laboratory procedures and diagnostic testing
Experience working in hospital laboratory environments
Knowledge of blood bank and transfusion services
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent attention to detail and documentation accuracy
Associate’s Degree from an accredited Laboratory Technology Program
Valid New York State Clinical Laboratory Technologist License
Primary Source Verification of license required
Minimum 1 year of Clinical Laboratory Technologist experience
Experience performing blood bank testing
