Location: Syracuse, NY
Duration: 14 Weeks
Compensation:

  • Local Rate: $2,287.50/week (Negotiable based on experience)

  • Travel Rate: $2,651.50/week (Negotiable based on experience)

Shift & Schedule

  • Day Shift

  • 5 shifts per week

  • 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM


Position Overview

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to support an Ambulatory Hematology/Oncology clinic within a leading healthcare facility. This role involves providing triage, patient education, and clinical support in a fast-paced outpatient environment.

The ideal candidate will have strong hematology/oncology experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform triage and clinical assessments for hematology/oncology patients

  • Coordinate patient care and assist providers with follow-ups and treatment plans

  • Educate patients and families on medications, treatment plans, and self-care practices

  • Accurately document patient information in electronic medical records

  • Deliver patient care with minimal supervision

  • Collaborate with nursing staff, providers, and administrative teams to support high-quality patient care


Required Qualifications

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – New York State

  • BLS Certification

  • Minimum 1.5 years of recent acute care experience in a comparable healthcare setting

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Ability to work independently with minimal orientation


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with EPIC Electronic Medical Records

  • Prior outpatient hematology/oncology experience

  • Experience working in a high-acuity hospital environment
