  • Shift Length: Mix of 8-hour and 12-hour shifts


Position Overview

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) to join a leading acute care hospital in Syracuse, NY. The RN will provide high-quality perioperative nursing care in a fast-paced surgical environment while collaborating closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and the surgical team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

This role requires strong experience supporting multiple surgical specialties and maintaining the highest standards of patient safety and sterile technique throughout the perioperative process.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide perioperative nursing care for patients undergoing surgical procedures

  • Prepare patients for surgery and assist during intraoperative care

  • Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and the surgical team during procedures

  • Maintain sterile technique and ensure operating room safety protocols are followed

  • Monitor patients and assist with safe transitions throughout the surgical process

  • Accurately document patient care in the electronic medical record system

  • Support a variety of surgical procedures including general surgery, orthopedic, trauma, neuro, and robotic cases

  • Ensure compliance with hospital policies and patient safety standards


Required Qualifications

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) License – New York State

  • Minimum 2 years of recent Operating Room experience

  • Experience working in an acute care hospital setting

  • Strong knowledge of perioperative nursing practices


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a trauma center environment

  • Experience with EPIC Electronic Medical Records (EMR)

  • Scrub experience

  • Experience supporting general, orthopedic, trauma, neuro, and robotic procedures
