Weekly Gross Pay: $2,000 – $2,600 (Based on Experience)


Position Overview

A healthcare facility in Machias, ME is seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) to provide high-quality perioperative nursing care. The RN will assist surgical teams during procedures, ensure patient safety throughout the surgical process, and maintain a sterile and efficient operating room environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide perioperative nursing care for patients undergoing surgical procedures.

  • Perform circulating and scrub nurse duties during surgeries.

  • Assist surgeons and surgical teams during procedures including general surgery, orthopedics, ENT, podiatry, OB-GYN, urology, pain management, and endoscopy.

  • Prepare operating rooms, surgical instruments, and sterile equipment prior to procedures.

  • Monitor patient condition throughout the surgical process and ensure patient safety.

  • Provide Phase I recovery care in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) when required.

  • Maintain sterile technique and follow infection control and patient safety protocols.

  • Communicate effectively with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and perioperative staff.

  • Participate in on-call rotation and respond within the required 45-minute arrival time.


Requirements

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) License

  • BLS (Basic Life Support) – American Heart Association (AHA)

  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) Certification


Preferred Certification

  • CNOR (Certified Nurse Operating Room)
