Job Title: Ultrasound Technologist

Job Type: Contract
Pay Rate: $1,875 – $2,100 per week (based on experience)
A healthcare facility in New York, NY is seeking a skilled Ultrasound Technologist for a contract assignment. The technologist will perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures with a focus on cardiac imaging, assisting physicians in evaluating heart structure and function.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical skills, patient care abilities, and knowledge of cardiac anatomy and ultrasound imaging procedures.
Perform cardiac ultrasound examinations (echocardiograms) to assess heart structure and function
Conduct general diagnostic ultrasound procedures as required
Prepare patients for ultrasound procedures and explain the scanning process
Operate and maintain diagnostic ultrasound equipment
Capture high-quality images to support physician diagnosis and treatment planning
Maintain accurate documentation and imaging records
Follow infection control and safety standards during procedures
Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient care
Associate’s Degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography, OR
High School Diploma / GED with successful completion of an accredited Ultrasound / Sonography training program
Minimum 1 year of experience in General Ultrasound
Experience performing cardiac ultrasound / echocardiography
Strong knowledge of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and pathology
Ability to operate diagnostic ultrasound imaging equipment
Excellent patient care and communication skills
Certification or registration in Diagnostic Medical Sonography (RDMS) or related ultrasound credential preferred depending on facility requirements.
