Compensation

  • Hourly Rate: $86.80 per hour

  • Total Weekly Gross Pay: $2,994.60 per week

  • Weekly Stipend: $2,408 per week

Position Summary

A healthcare facility in New York, NY is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) – Neuro ICU for a 13-week contract assignment. The RN will provide specialized critical care to patients with neurological conditions requiring intensive monitoring and treatment.

This role requires strong clinical judgment, advanced nursing skills, and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary critical care team to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct nursing care to critically ill neurological patients in the ICU

  • Monitor patient conditions, vital signs, and neurological status

  • Perform IV insertions and phlebotomy procedures as needed

  • Assist with conscious sedation procedures and patient monitoring

  • Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders

  • Maintain accurate patient documentation and clinical records

  • Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care

  • Ensure adherence to hospital policies, safety protocols, and infection control standards


Required Qualifications

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license

  • Minimum 2 years of Critical Care / ICU experience

  • Experience with IV insertion and phlebotomy

  • Experience assisting with conscious sedation procedures

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association

  • Strong clinical skills including patient monitoring and vital sign assessment


Preferred Certifications

  • Additional critical care certifications such as ACLS or specialty ICU certifications may be preferred depending on facility requirements.
