Job Summary

The Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) will provide clinical support in a cardiology outpatient clinic setting. The nurse will assist physicians and healthcare staff with patient care, perform clinical procedures, and ensure efficient patient flow within the clinic. The role requires experience in an outpatient or ambulatory care environment and the ability to support cardiology-related patient services.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care and clinical support in a cardiology outpatient clinic.

  • Assist physicians and healthcare providers during patient examinations and procedures.

  • Monitor and record vital signs and patient health information.

  • Prepare patients for examinations and cardiology-related procedures.

  • Administer medications and injections as prescribed.

  • Perform routine clinical tasks such as specimen collection and documentation.

  • Maintain accurate patient records using the electronic medical record system.

  • Educate patients on treatment plans, medications, and follow-up care instructions.

  • Coordinate patient scheduling, follow-up appointments, and referrals when necessary.

  • Ensure exam rooms and clinical equipment are properly prepared and maintained.

  • Follow infection control policies and maintain a safe clinical environment.


Required Qualifications

  • Active Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license.

  • Minimum 1 year of outpatient clinic experience within the last 3 years.

  • Experience in cardiology or cardiovascular care preferred.

  • Strong knowledge of clinical procedures and patient care in an ambulatory setting.

  • Excellent communication and patient care skills.
