The DevOps Engineer – Level I is responsible for designing, deploying, and maintaining cloud networking infrastructure across multiple cloud platforms. This role focuses on supporting enterprise cloud environments, resolving complex networking issues, and ensuring high availability and performance of cloud infrastructure. The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement secure and scalable networking solutions while maintaining operational efficiency.
Manage and coordinate multi-technology environments to resolve complex infrastructure and networking issues.
Provide 24x7 on-call support on a rotating basis for troubleshooting, escalation, and ticket resolution.
Design, deploy, and maintain cloud networking infrastructure across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Deploy and manage network virtual appliances such as Arista CloudEOS and Palo Alto PAN-OS integrated with cloud networking environments.
Design and implement hybrid connectivity solutions between on-premises infrastructure and cloud platforms.
Collaborate with security and architecture teams to ensure network designs comply with enterprise security standards.
Work with connectivity providers to troubleshoot network issues and develop technical solutions.
Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform for standardized cloud deployments and configuration management.
Monitor and analyze network performance using monitoring and packet analysis tools.
Ensure high availability of cloud networking environments through monitoring, upgrades, and troubleshooting activities.
Participate in network capacity planning, performance optimization, and operational improvements.
Document architecture designs and implementation details using Microsoft Visio.
Participate in knowledge transfer and technical training for team members.
Occasional travel may be required.
3–7 years of experience working as a DevOps Engineer or in a similar infrastructure or cloud networking role.
Strong expertise in AWS networking infrastructure, including:
VPCs, subnets, security groups, route tables
Virtual Private Gateway and Transit Gateway
Cloud WAN, Site-to-Site VPN, Direct Connect
Network ACLs, load balancers, VPC peering
Logging, alerting, and troubleshooting
Strong knowledge of Layer 3 networking, including:
Border Gateway Protocol (BGP)
VRFs and route maps
Routing redistribution
Network Address Translation (NAT)
Subnetting and routing concepts
Experience managing Palo Alto PAN-OS firewalls, including:
Security policies
NAT policies
Zones, routing, and tunnels
Upgrades, logging, and monitoring
Knowledge of cloud application platforms such as Kubernetes or serverless environments.
Experience with Terraform for Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and CI/CD automation.
Experience with Microsoft Azure networking, including VNets, NSGs, VPN gateways, ExpressRoute, and load balancers.
Experience with Google Cloud Platform networking, including VPCs, Cloud Router, Cloud VPN, Cloud NAT, load balancers, and private service connections.
Experience using network monitoring and packet analysis tools, including Zenoss, Splunk, Palo Alto Panorama, Arista CloudVision, NfSen, Ixia, Gigastor, and Wireshark.
Proficiency with Microsoft Visio for technical architecture documentation.
Knowledge of Domain Name System (DNS) and split-brain public/private DNS configurations.
