Job Title: Registered Nurse – Emergency Department (Travel Contract)
Location: Watertown, NY 13601
Duration: 14 Weeks
Shift: Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
Pay Rate: $62 – $67 per hour
Position Overview:
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurse for a 14-week travel assignment in Watertown, New York. The ideal candidate will have strong emergency care experience, the ability to work in fast-paced environments, and excellent clinical decision-making skills.
Required Qualifications:
Active New York State RN License
BLS and ACLS Certifications (Required)
PALS Certification (Required or must obtain within 6 months of hire)
MEDITECH experience required
Previous travel nursing experience required
Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
Preferred Qualifications:
Critical Care experience
Charge Nurse experience
Key Responsibilities:
Provide high-quality emergency nursing care to patients with acute and life-threatening conditions
Rapidly assess, prioritize, and respond to patient needs in a fast-paced ED environment
Identify and intervene in life-threatening situations using advanced clinical judgment
Administer medications, IV therapy, and perform phlebotomy as required
Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to deliver effective patient care
Maintain accurate patient documentation and ensure compliance with clinical protocols
Support patient safety by recognizing potential risks and implementing safe patient handling techniques
Provide patient and family education regarding treatment and care plans
Assist with leadership duties and serve as Charge Nurse when required
Additional Requirements:
Must successfully complete a lethal dysrhythmia exam during probation
Must obtain defibrillation certification within six months of employment
Must be IV, medication, and phlebotomy certified during orientation
Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills required
Ability to work effectively in high-stress clinical environments
