Job Title: Registered Nurse – Emergency Department (Travel Contract)

Location: Watertown, NY 13601
Duration: 14 Weeks
Shift: Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
Pay Rate: $62 – $67 per hour

Position Overview:
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurse for a 14-week travel assignment in Watertown, New York. The ideal candidate will have strong emergency care experience, the ability to work in fast-paced environments, and excellent clinical decision-making skills.

Required Qualifications:

  • Active New York State RN License

  • BLS and ACLS Certifications (Required)

  • PALS Certification (Required or must obtain within 6 months of hire)

  • MEDITECH experience required

  • Previous travel nursing experience required

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Critical Care experience

  • Charge Nurse experience

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality emergency nursing care to patients with acute and life-threatening conditions

  • Rapidly assess, prioritize, and respond to patient needs in a fast-paced ED environment

  • Identify and intervene in life-threatening situations using advanced clinical judgment

  • Administer medications, IV therapy, and perform phlebotomy as required

  • Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to deliver effective patient care

  • Maintain accurate patient documentation and ensure compliance with clinical protocols

  • Support patient safety by recognizing potential risks and implementing safe patient handling techniques

  • Provide patient and family education regarding treatment and care plans

  • Assist with leadership duties and serve as Charge Nurse when required

Additional Requirements:

  • Must successfully complete a lethal dysrhythmia exam during probation

  • Must obtain defibrillation certification within six months of employment

  • Must be IV, medication, and phlebotomy certified during orientation

  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills required

  • Ability to work effectively in high-stress clinical environments
