Registered Nurse – Case Manager (Utilization Review / CDI)
Location: Syracuse, NY
Duration: 13 Weeks
Schedule: Day Shift | 5x8s (7:00 AM – 3:00 PM)
Gross Weekly Pay: $2,585
A healthcare facility in Syracuse, NY is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse – Case Manager with a strong background in Utilization Review (UR) and Clinical Documentation Improvement (CDI). The ideal candidate will have recent acute care hospital experience and be comfortable working in a pediatric care environment while supporting care coordination, documentation accuracy, and regulatory compliance.
Conduct utilization reviews to ensure appropriate level of patient care.
Perform clinical documentation reviews to support accurate coding, quality metrics, and reimbursement.
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
Coordinate discharge planning and care transitions for patients and families.
Ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines and payer requirements.
Maintain accurate patient documentation using EPIC EMR.
Active New York State RN License
BLS Certification (AHA)
Minimum 1.5 years of recent acute care hospital experience (within the past 2 years)
Pediatric experience – required
Acute care Case Management experience – required
EPIC EMR experience – required
Strong communication, coordination, and interpersonal skills
