Compensation (Based on Experience)

  • Gross Weekly Pay: $3,270/week

  • W2 Hourly Rate: $20/hour

  • Weekly Stipend: $2,520/week

Position Summary

A healthcare facility in Brooklyn, NY is seeking an experienced RN – Nurse Educator for a 13-week contract assignment within the Nursing Inservice Education department. This role focuses on providing clinical education, training, and competency development for nursing staff across Maternal Child Health units.

The Nurse Educator will work closely with nursing leadership and clinical teams to support staff development, promote evidence-based practice, and ensure high-quality patient care across units including Labor & Delivery, NICU, Postpartum, and Pediatrics.

Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical education and training to nursing staff within Maternal Child Health departments, including Labor & Delivery, NICU, Postpartum, and Pediatrics

  • Develop and deliver educational programs, in-service training sessions, and competency assessments

  • Support onboarding, orientation, and ongoing education for newly hired nursing staff

  • Collaborate with nurse leaders and clinical teams to ensure adherence to best practices and patient care standards

  • Promote evidence-based practice and support quality improvement initiatives

  • Evaluate clinical competencies and provide feedback to enhance staff performance and professional development

Required Qualifications

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State

  • RN license verification through the New York State Education Department (NYSED)

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)

  • Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN or ADN) from an accredited nursing program

  • Minimum 2 years of Medical-Surgical nursing experience

  • Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience

  • Strong clinical expertise and teaching ability

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in Nursing, Education, or related field
