Position: Nurse Manager RN – Behavioral Health
Location: Aventura, FL
Schedule: Full-Time | Day Shift | No Weekends
Pay Rate: $38.52 – $55.26 per hour (Based on Experience)
Bonus: Sign-On Bonus & Relocation Assistance (Case-by-Case)
Position Overview:
A large acute care hospital is seeking an experienced Nurse Manager – Behavioral Health to oversee operations of a 53-bed inpatient behavioral health unit. This role manages clinical staff, ensures quality patient care, and supports regulatory compliance while maintaining efficient 24/7 unit operations.
Responsibilities:
Manage daily unit operations including scheduling, hiring, and staff performance.
Supervise a multidisciplinary team of RNs, Behavioral Health Technicians, and clinical staff.
Ensure compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards.
Support quality improvement, patient safety, and satisfaction initiatives.
Collaborate with physicians and hospital leadership to improve patient outcomes.
Requirements:
Active Florida RN License (or compact license).
BSN required.
BLS & ACLS within 30 days of hire.
CPI certification within 90 days.
3+ years Behavioral Health nursing experience in an acute care hospital.
3+ years leadership experience (Charge Nurse, Supervisor, Coordinator, or Assistant Nurse Manager).
Inpatient psychiatric experience preferred.
