On-Call Requirement: Candidates must live within 30 minutes of the facility.
The Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Registered Nurse provides critical post-operative care for surgical patients recovering from anesthesia.
This role involves close monitoring of patient recovery, rapid response to complications, and collaboration with surgical and anesthesia teams to ensure safe patient outcomes.
Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: 1:2
Provide high-quality, patient-centered post-anesthesia care.
Monitor airway status, neurological responses, and cardiac function.
Identify and respond promptly to complications or adverse reactions.
Provide immediate wound care and post-surgical stabilization.
Assess patient condition and document changes accurately.
Update and implement patient care plans as needed.
Educate patients and families on recovery expectations, medications, and follow-up care.
Collaborate with physicians, anesthesia providers, and interdisciplinary care teams.
Participate in required on-call rotations.
Minimum 1 year of recent acute care PACU RN experience
Critical care experience preferred
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
Florida RN license or multistate compact license
Candidates relocating must obtain a Florida RN license within 60 days
RN Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
BLS (Basic Life Support) – within 30 days of hire
ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) – within 60 days of hire
PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) – within 60 days of hire
Base Pay (based on experience):
$27.72 – $33.00/hour (approximately 5 years experience)
$36.30/hour (approximately 10 years experience)
$39.60/hour (approximately 15 years experience)
Shift Differential: $2.50/hour for shifts after 3:00 PM
On-Call Pay: $4/hour (details discussed during interview)
Sign-On Bonus: $15,000
