Position Overview

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a Certified Medication Aide (CMA) for a 13-week contract assignment in a long-term care setting in Hood River, Oregon. The CMA will play a key role in supporting the nursing team by administering medications, monitoring residents, and assisting with daily care needs to ensure safe and effective patient care.

The ideal candidate demonstrates strong attention to detail, compassion for residents, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced long-term care environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Administer medications to residents under the supervision of licensed nursing staff

  • Maintain accurate Medication Administration Records (MAR)

  • Monitor residents for medication reactions or side effects and report concerns promptly

  • Assist residents with daily care activities as needed

  • Follow medication safety standards, policies, and procedures

  • Communicate effectively with nurses and healthcare team members

  • Help maintain a safe, respectful, and comfortable environment for residents


Required Qualifications

  • Certification: Certified Medication Aide (CMA)

  • Experience: Prior experience in Long-Term Care (LTC) or Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) preferred

  • Skills:

    • Strong attention to detail

    • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

    • Compassionate and patient-focused care approach
