"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join a hospital-based Radiology/Cardiology Department in Syracuse, NY. In this role, you will perform diagnostic radiographic examinations under the supervision of radiologists while ensuring patient safety, accurate imaging, and adherence to radiation protection standards.
The technologist will play an important role in producing high-quality diagnostic images that support physician evaluation and treatment planning.
Perform diagnostic radiographic exams as ordered by physicians and directed by radiologists.
Prepare and position patients appropriately for imaging procedures.
Adjust imaging equipment and exposure factors to obtain high-quality diagnostic images.
Follow radiation safety and protection standards to minimize patient exposure.
Operate imaging equipment efficiently and report any equipment concerns.
Process and review radiographic images to ensure quality and accuracy.
Document procedures and maintain accurate patient records in the Radiology Information System (RIS).
Ensure compliance with departmental policies, imaging protocols, and safety standards.
Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare providers to meet clinical imaging needs.
Associate’s Degree in Radiologic Technology or equivalent education
Active New York State Radiologic Technologist License/Registration
Minimum 1 year of experience as a Radiologic Technologist
Strong knowledge of radiographic positioning and imaging techniques
Understanding of radiation safety and patient protection practices
Ability to operate diagnostic imaging equipment effectively
