Seeking a strong Cardiac ICU RN with experience in high-acuity cardiovascular patients and advanced cardiac devices.
This unit manages cardiac and medical ICU patients, along with occasional step-down overflow. Candidates must have solid experience in CVICU or a strong CCU/Cardiopulmonary ICU setting due to the complexity of patient conditions and devices.
Minimum 1 year of relevant ICU experience required, but must be cardiac-focused.
Experience managing patients with:
LVAD
Impella
IABP
Temporary Transvenous Pacemaker (TVP)
Mechanical ventilation
CRRT
Invasive lines
Hemodynamic monitoring
Additional required competencies:
Interpretation & management of dysrhythmias
Pre/Post Cardiac Cath & Interventions
Sheath removal
Post-cardiac surgery patients (step-down from OR, not immediate fresh open heart)
BLS
ACLS
NIH Stroke Scale
Dysrhythmia Interpretation
