Job Title: Occupational Therapist – School-Based
Location: Ashburn, VA
Pay: $50–$53/hr
Shift: 08:50 AM – 03:40 PM

Position Overview:

Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking Occupational Therapist – School-Based for an exciting Travel or Local job in Ashburn, VA.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate students to assess fine motor, sensory processing, visual-motor, and functional skills
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with students’ Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Provide direct occupational therapy services in individual and group settings
  • Support students with classroom participation, self-care skills, handwriting, and adaptive functioning
  • Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and families to support student progress and accommodations
  • Recommend adaptive equipment and environmental modifications as appropriate
  • Monitor student progress and adjust therapy plans as needed
  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation and progress reports in compliance with school and regulatory requirements
  • Participate in IEP meetings, evaluations, and multidisciplinary team discussions
  • Ensure compliance with state, district, and professional practice standards

Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
  • Current state licensure as an Occupational Therapist
  • Eligibility to work in a school-based or pediatric setting
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Strong assessment and treatment planning skills
  • Ability to adapt interventions to meet diverse student needs
  • Excellent documentation and organizational skills
  • Collaborative, student-centered approach to care

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in a school-based or pediatric setting
  • Knowledge of IEP processes and special education regulations
  • Experience working with children with developmental, physical, or sensory needs
